Corn Husks
Yesterday I was shucking some corns and I began to wonder abou tthe husk. Could the fibers be utilized for a bow backing?

I think the answer is probably no. I have used the fibres to make low-grade string, and it breaks pretty much as soon as the fibres dry. You could experiment, though.
